Ron Brown presented scholarships to four University of Maine System students at the 26th annual MTUG Telecommunications and Computer Networking Conference. MTUG with the generous support of FairPoint Communications, Lincolnville Communications, Norway Savings Bank, and Time Warner Cable sponsored the scholarships. The program was initiated in 2012 by MTUG in cooperation with Maine businesses to promote the study of telecommunications and information technology by Maine students with the objective of enhancing telecommunications IT workforce so critical to developing Maine’s economy.

First Robotics Judge

Ron Brown was a judge at the Inaugural Pinetree Regional First Robotics Competition on April 4, 5, & 6, 2013. The contest drew 38 high school teams from the New England states, Pennsylvania, and Ontario. Importantly, many of the contestants planned to go on to non-technical fields, but saw First Robotics competitions as a great way to develop team skills.
