Description: Conceived, designed, and implemented WESDIN, the world's first integrated synchronous network and first CLEC for Westinghouse Communications. The network included circuit, data, and packet switching; cable TV based, fiber, microwave, and satellite transmission; and a network management center; voice messaging; and email; and video links.

Project: Personal Communications

Description: Performed a market research study for NYNEX to determine the market requirements for personal communications devices (PDAs) and estimated the market value of these devices.

Client: Boston Edison Company

Project: BECo Networking

Description: Prepared a five year telecommunications plan and implementation program to provide all voice, data, SCADA, office automation, and video communications for Boston Edison Company. The project evaluated the use of fiber and microwave networking between facilities. This became the basis for Boston Edison's equity participation in a Boston area CLEC.

Client: Massachusetts Port Authority

Project: Massport Integrated Office System

Description: Directed the planning, development, and implementation of an integrated office information system for Massport. The system included fully network desktop functions to all information workers. This system changed the processes by which Massport did business.

Project: CLEC Competitive Planning

Description: Performed a market research study and vulnerability analysis for a major telephone company to alternative access carriers. The vulnerability analysis included a hypothetical alternative carrier design and market penetration that demonstrated to the client its high level of vulnerability.
