Description: Conceived, designed, and implemented WESDIN, the world's first integrated synchronous network and first CLEC for Westinghouse Communications. The network included circuit, data, and packet switching; cable TV based, fiber, microwave, and satellite transmission; and a network management center; voice messaging; and email; and video links.

Project: WESDIN Operations Manual

Description: Conceived and directed the development of the operations manual for WESDIN, the world's first integrated synchronous digital network and first CLEC.

Client: County of Sacramento

Project: Network Contract Dispute

Description: Directed the technical preparation necessary for a multimillion dollar legal claim for Sacramento County against a delinquent network vendor. This resulted in a favorable out-of-court settlement for the client.

Client: Massachusetts Port Authority

Project: Massport Integrated Network

Description: Directed the planning, development, and implementation of an integrated voice-data telecommunications network for the Massachusetts Port Authority, Massport. This network linked all Massport facilities in Metropolitan Boston.

Client: Massachusetts Port Authority

Project: Massport Integrated Office System

Description: Directed the planning, development, and implementation of an integrated office information system for Massport. The system included fully network desktop functions to all information workers. This system changed the processes by which Massport did business.

Client: Employers Health

Project: PBX/ACD Performance Analysis

Description: Prepared the technical foundation so Employers Health Insurance could challenge the substandard performance of a recently purchased PBX/ACD. The analysis included determining key call center performance parameters and demonstrating these to be far below industry standards for this type of equipment.

Client: Middleboro Gas and Electric

Project: Middleboro CLEC

Description: Evaluated business strategies and developed a business plan for Middleboro (MA) Gas and Electric to enter the telecommunications business, selected a telecommunications partner, developed a marketing strategy, supported development of a legal strategies to develop the business, and provided management guidance to the roll out services. Strategies included resale of services, partnering, and overbuilding using FTTN, FTTC, and FTTH.

Client: Burlington (VT) Electric Department

Project: Burlington/Adelphia

Description: Expert witness for Burlington VT as it intervened with the Vermont Public Service Board to ensure that the city?s CATV provider?s certificate of public good was renewed only if suitable protections for the city were included. Issues addressed included CATV company?s operational performance and requiring open access of the CATV system for Internet service. Testified before the Public Service Board.
